Best of Shillong & Cherrapunjee
Tour Overview
This Northeast holiday is a great blend of the laid-back charm of Shillong and the raw natural beauty of Meghalaya for a trip that has been scenic from word go. During the trip, you pass through pine-covered hills, misty valleys, well-groomed villages, glassy rivers and cave waterfalls as well as some of the prettiest peaks around. Be it the picturesque beauty of Umiam Lake, the city-life beauty of Shillong or the wilderness and freshness in Cherrapunjee, Mawlynnong, Dawki, Laitlum or Jowai, they are all different from each other. While some are hunched over scenes from a root bridge village or about towering waterfalls, others are transient snatches of breath and fresh Meghalaya air that make this itinerary a delightful bouquet of nature, culture and road trip nostalgia.
